Tennessee Association for

Marriage and Family Therapy

Purpose

We are a 501c(6), an Independent Affiliate of AAMFT, 100% staffed by volunteers, and our activities are supported by dues, events, and grants. We exist to help our profession, our professionals, and the public through:

•PROMOTING the professional interests of MFTs.

•REPRESENTING: We serve as the public face of our profession before governmental entities.

•STANDARDS: We work in numerous places and capacities to help establish and maintain professional standards in marital and family therapy.

•COOPERATING TO FURTHER PROFESSION: We cooperate with other organizations and agencies for the furtherance of the MFT profession.

Advocacy

TNAMFT engages a lobbyist to advocate for LMFTs across the state and we are present in every Regulatory Board Meeting to advocate for our members and our profession.

Networking & CE Events

Discover opportunities to grow your practice, deepen your learning, and network with other LMFTs and allied professionals.

Get Involved

Collaborate with fellow members to strengthen the MFT profession and our state association. We have roles for helping on a committee, with an event, or serving as a speaker. We need you!
